Land Activities by the Sea

Gili Gede (means large island) is the largest off shore island adjacent to Lombok island. It has a lot of beauty and recreation to offer: From fantastic nature walks & hiking with excellent beach combing and shell collecting. While walking you can also talk with the extra friendly local people. "Just a little bit English" or "a little bit of Indonesian language goes a long way here. There is also hanging out in the hotel gazebos by the beach or on top of the hill for great Sunsets. You can go fishing via casting from the large Dock: We can rent you a quality rod and reel for $10 with lure. Or lounge in the restaurant and play chess/darts, watch a DVD, play billiards on regulation pool table and listen to good music on a powerful sound system in the restaurant with a full bar Beer or liquor.

Enjoy the approximately 3 hour half island walk or the full walk around takes about 4 or 5 hours about 12 kilo meters by the ocean side. We promise you that you will find some of the friendliest people in Lombok here. The Kids are just great and love to have their picture taken as you can see from the picture on the right. Also please notice the excellent protected swimming spot for kids and all as shown in picture below in front of resort. Plus here the shell collecting is superb or just enjoy a few hours on the hotel's private sandy terraces.
